ShorePowerCalc support

System requirements

• Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit.
• Approximately 300 MB of free disk space.
• Internet connection for first activation and periodic Gumroad license checks.
• A valid ShorePowerCalc Gumroad license key.

ShorePowerCalc is currently Windows-only. macOS, iOS, Android, Chromebook, and browser-based use are not supported.

Setup or Portable

The customer package includes both Windows builds:

• Setup: installs ShorePowerCalc for the current Windows user and creates normal application shortcuts.
• Portable: runs directly from its folder without a conventional installation.

Both builds contain the same ShorePowerCalc v2.0 application and use the same license record. Do not activate both as if they were separate user licenses.

First activation

1. Download the customer package from the Gumroad receipt or library.
2. Run the Setup build or place the Portable build in a folder you control.
3. Open ShorePowerCalc.
4. Enter the Gumroad license key, customer name, and customer email.
5. Review the displayed EULA and select the electronic-signature agreement checkbox.
6. Select Activate & Accept.

A successful activation unlocks project open, save, calculation, and export functions. The application stores a local encrypted license record under the current Windows user profile when Electron safe storage is available.

License term and activation allowance

• One named user on one Windows computer.
• 365-day term beginning on the original Gumroad purchase date.
• Reinstallation, delayed activation, deletion of local data, or computer replacement does not restart the term.
• A small Gumroad activation allowance supports legitimate reinstall or replacement situations; it does not authorize concurrent use.
• Internet access is required for first activation and periodic verification.

Use Help > View License Info inside ShorePowerCalc to review the active status, masked key ending, term dates, last verification, and Gumroad use count.

Windows SmartScreen notice

The current v2.0.0 release is not code-signed. Microsoft Defender SmartScreen may display an Unknown Publisher notice the first time the app is opened. Verify that the file came from your ShorePowerCalc Gumroad purchase before proceeding.

For the current release, select More info, confirm the expected ShorePowerCalc filename, and then select Run anyway. Code signing is not included in v2.0.0; this page will be updated if that changes in a later release.

Opening and saving projects

ShorePowerCalc projects use the .mlc file format. Open saved projects from File > Open or the Open button inside the application. Use Save or Save As to retain project changes.

Keep backup copies of important project files and generated PDFs. Review projects after application updates and before relying on any revised calculation.

Common troubleshooting checks

• Confirm that Windows has an active internet connection during first activation.
• Paste the complete Gumroad license key without leading or trailing spaces.
• Confirm the purchase has not been refunded, disputed, charged back, or otherwise invalidated.
• If the activation allowance has been reached after a legitimate replacement, email support with the Gumroad receipt email.
• If a PDF or project is reported as busy, close the file in the other application and try again.
• Confirm the selected project mode and active dock panel or substation before editing downstream data.
• Review all visible warnings before exporting a report.

Refund policy

ShorePowerCalc is a digital software product delivered immediately with a license key and downloadable files. Sales are final and refunds are not offered after delivery or activation except where applicable law requires otherwise. Contact support for installation or activation assistance before assuming the application cannot be used.
